From age 8 to current, I have studied and earned black belts in Aikido, Tang Soo Do, American Tiger Karate, Judo, and WTF Taekwondo. I began competing at age 8 earning 18 state championships, Mid Atlantic State Championship, 5 National Championships, Jr. Olympic Gold Medalist, 1999 Taekwondo All American, 6 World Championships and have been inducted 3 times into the USMA Hall of Fame.
I started Rutter’s Martial Arts and have been teaching in Bassett, VA since 1997. My current goal is to keep young children off the streets and provide our community with something positive while offering self defense, fitness, as well as teamwork and discipline to all interested. In the past 5 years our competition team has won over 77 state championships, 13 national championships, and a World Championship.
